Find a Job Without Training | Work Pays Off!

Hard work & perseverance pay off...
Finding a job without training is often very difficult. Most employers explicitly ask in their job ads for the required qualifications in the form of a completed vocational training, possibly with some initial practical experience as well. For people without any training, this is often a major obstacle, and they can't pursue their dream job.
A vocational apprenticeship usually takes three years, but under some circumstances it can be shortened. For example, with extremely good performance. That can save a year. Today, though, there are also various ways to gain the qualification for a profession faster. For example, through retraining, which the job center makes possible.
But finding a suitable position even without the corresponding training is not impossible. A great many companies also give so-called career changers a fair chance to prove themselves. Among other things, that's because of staff shortages or incompetent employees.
Of course, you can't gain a foothold in every profession in no time without the necessary qualifications. Many professions, such as doctor, lawyer, or engineer, require not only vocational training but also years of university study. Getting into those professions without any qualifications is therefore rather unlikely.
But in other fields, with a bit of luck and suitably friendly supervisors, there's a real chance. In restaurants and hospitality or in retail, for example. Unskilled workers usually start with smaller helper jobs but often work their way up over time. On the job they learn the necessary skills and in this way acquire the qualifications they need. With positive references from employers, they often have another ace up their sleeve.
Another option for finding work even without formal training is to get a foot in the door at a staffing agency. There, employees are deployed at various locations and gradually learn the trade. For example, in production or in the logistics industry. That way, they can get a forklift license or a truck driver's license, which authorizes them to operate those vehicles and use them in their line of work. This lets them work in that field even without the corresponding training.
