Is Working Worth It, or Not? | A Matter of Opinion

End of the month and once again not a cent left. The last week is always especially hard. The fridge is empty, the last of the tobacco is smoked, and leisure activities like the movies or a trip to the ice cream parlor are rarely on the agenda. But is it only the unemployed who are affected, people who don't want to work? Or do many employees suffer from this too? Even with a job, we're barely scraping by, and we ask ourselves: is working even worth it anymore? Or would it be better to stay home and save on gas and physical effort?

Should You Even Go to Work?
Many people know the feeling: when the money runs out, there's still so much month left. Working isn't worth it. You do without so many things, and still you can't really make ends meet. Here and there money is missing, not to mention bigger purchases like a washing machine, a school trip, etc. "Then go to work," many people bellow. But is working even worth it anymore? When you grind every day, work yourself to the bone, and in spite of all the effort there's simply nothing left over?Between 2 Jobs and Still Nothing Left Over
More and more people have two jobs, work shifts or weekends for starvation wages. Companies can pick and choose their employees, and that's exactly where the problem begins. If you don't have a high school diploma, you'll have a hard time on the job market. Because here what counts is: if you have nothing, you are nothing. It's difficult for people in this situation to get a job at all, and a well-paid one almost impossible. The chance to prove yourself in practice without anyone looking at the missing diploma or the early exit is very small. Motivation is often missing too: why should I even get up for so little money? If I stay home I get more money and don't have to do anything for it. After several years of unemployment, many people also find it hard to get back into a regular daily rhythm. Getting up early, working long hours, for many a reason to stay in bed.>Is Working Worth It, or Not?
Employees who work gladly and with high motivation are becoming fewer, but they still exist, and quite often. The feeling of being needed, the sense of belonging to a community, and the motivation to earn money through your own efforts, to depend on no one, to be able to provide for your family and yourself without help from the state. The drive to start the day every morning as an employee.
