There are many ways to make quick money. Whether it's private "pocket money" or a job. There are various small part-time jobs that you can take on alongside your regular job if you have enough free time. These are often cleaning jobs, warehouse and cashier work, or vacation cover. But of course, there are many other jobs too.

But you can also earn the odd quick dollar on a private basis. Newspapers and the internet are full of requests for things like carpooling, baby and pet sitting, renovation work, help with moving and more. Some of these services even cover a regular, longer period. Former good students can also give tutoring lessons.

You can also sell old items you no longer need by auction online. For example on eBay. Some things that are still in pretty good shape are definitely still needed by some people. For example old DVDs, CDs, books, electronics, clothes, furniture or games. That may not make you immeasurably rich, but it's a start. Every little bit adds up, after all!

If you don't want to ship everything, list your ad as local pickup only. Another way to make money from old things is a flea market.

You can also scrape together a few dollars with online surveys. For these, you give your personal details and answer a few questions. For example about a certain product, a political stance or a restaurant. There are various providers that run surveys regularly and pay for taking part. Usually, though, it's only a few cents or dollars. But even that can add up over time.

A skilled handyman clearly has the advantage when it comes to making money fast. People are often looking privately for a straightforward tire change or the installation of a stove. Renovation work or help in the garden is also requested regularly. Women often score here as nannies or housekeepers. For example for parents who both work. Or for elderly people who are no longer able to manage their daily lives without help.

However, you need to make sure there are no legal problems regarding undeclared work. For this reason, no invoice or the like should be issued for private jobs, and if asked, the work should be described as a friendly favor.
